Design Terminál strengthens it’s platform with an international partner

Design Terminál announces partnership with IMG Fashion for the upcoming Central Europian Fashion Days

Central European Fashion Days, the region’s largest fashion event, organized by Design Terminál, is set to take place over the first weekend of October in 2014, during international fashion week season. Official consultants of the event, IMG Fashion are the world’s leading fashion week owners and producers with over 30 events worldwide.

Central European Fashion Days (CEFD), organized by Design Terminal, highlights the region’s historic and cultural traditions, encourages the regional cooperation between the creative industries and produces a platform that allows emerging Central European designers to enter the international fashion industry. The three day fashion event will be held October 3-5, 2014.

To ensure the maintenance of professional standards, CEFD’s has enlisted IMG Fashion as a key partner and consultant for the Event, commencing this year. IMG Fashion is internationally recognized as an industry leader with a portfolio of fashion weeks and Events in Berlin, Istanbul, London, Mumbai, Miami, Milan, New York, Sydney, Tokyo, Toronto, and Zurich. Along with their various fashion week and events, IMG Fashion also operates a portfolio of designer discovery platforms, consumer focused festivals and has relationships with numerous governing body associations, international media, buyers and industry professionals. With a focus on spotlighting stylish desitnations and its local talent, IMG Fashion aims to inspire, showcase, and unite fashion’s key creators, communicators and consumers.

With the support of IMG Fashion, CEFD now enters the international calendar of fashion weeks and continues to shine the spotlight on Hungary and the region.

Among it’s lineup of events, CEFD will include the Gombold újra! Central Europe fashion design final. For the first time this year, the competition will welcome Czech, Polish and Slovak candidates to show next to their Hungarian counterparts. The deadline for submitting entries was May 6, 2014.

All members of the jury are internationally recognized experts. The head of jury is going to be Jarrad Clark, VP and Global Creative Director, IMG Fashion Events and Properties, Szandra Sándor, founder and creative director of Nanushka fashion brand, Dana Kleinert, fashion designer and chairman of the Slovak Fashion Council, Olo Křížová, chariman of the Czech Fashin Council and Wojciech Dziedzic is a Polish fashion and costume designer, Head of Fashion Department

The mission of Design Terminál, the agency responsible for the development of the creative industries, is to help the introduction of young, emerging creative businesses to the domestic and international markets. This year, the CEFD fashion event will not be its only initiative that crosses the country’s borders: Design Terminál’s innovative technologies Budapest 3D Printing Days is also taking the next step to an international level.
